The Enraimada beech forest is a forest located in the Somiedo natural park, declared a biosphere natural reserve by UNESCO in 2000. As we descend along the Braña de Sousas route from said braña, once we begin to see the urban center of the Valle del Lago in the background, at this point we can clearly see its church from above, dedicated to Santa María Magdalena.

This beautiful beech forest is located between the towns of El Coto de Buenamadre and Braña de Mumián. Although it maintains its great beauty throughout the year, it is in autumn when it is in all its splendor with a great variety of colors.

Here, at the foot of El Canalón peak, we can find this typical traditional cabin of the area with its vegetal roof or teito. It is located next to a shady area with many trees. The name refers to the place where owls, also known as curuxos, live.
