Štrbački Buk Waterfall

Highlight • Waterfall

Štrbački Buk is an amazingly beautiful place with a magnificent waterfall. The Una National Park is located almost directly on the Croatian - Bosnian border, about 25 km south of Bihac.
He is very tall, but you can ride him perfectly on a mountain bike.
We ourselves have opted for the entrance 1 and are driven from there for about 14 km to the waterfall ... the track itself is a gravel road ... approx. 230 m altitude ... but felt for 700 m on the other side back down to the Una.
For the onward journey either back or a longer tour z.Bsp. until you reach entrance 3 south. We ourselves are up to the entrance 2 over the mountains high ... up to the top is only sliding vorran..daf waiting for a nice S 2 Trail on eroded gravel and stone tracks on you (our route as a screenshot in the pictures).
Tip and Comparison:
While you (only on foot) look at the Plitvice Lakes in Croatia ... it costs p.P. 50, - Euro entrance and again depending on how long you stay for the 15, - Euro parking fee ... and felt a million people .. Phew. In the Una National Park on the other hand ... p.P. 3,50 Euro entrance and parking for free !!
At the waterfall no one says what if you want to go swimming there (just go through the boardwalk at the very bottom, there is a good way to safely get into the water) ... there is everything else you need .. toilet, Drinking and eating ... definitely try the Bosnian coffee ... 🤩

Well ... got curious? then on the next vacation maybe go there and explore the magnificent landscape itself. 🤗

Wooden Walkway to the Waterfall

Highlight (Segment) • Waterfall

Bicycles are not permitted on the wooden walkways that lead to the waterfalls. There are fines between 20 and 1500 KM. It is better to have a lock with you so that you can connect your bike at the top if you want to walk to the waterfalls.

From the small suspension bridge you have a great view of the Una cascades.
On the way to the suspension bridge there is a ticket office for tickets for another waterfall, €12. I refrained from visiting another waterfall!

A fairly rough gravel section with a short uphill, followed by a long, steep descent. We had fun on our touring bikes.

Very beautiful waterfall! 🤩🤩📷 Here, too, you drive a few kilometers on a gravel road. This can be managed by motorbike with good road tires when it's dry. At the end there is a parking lot with the entrance booth. We paid the equivalent of €1.50 per person and then hiked up the path to the waterfall. It was worth it!!! Wonderful nature!!! You should definitely visit. The crowds were limited. No long queues in front of the entrance booth or at the photo bridge.
