Regardless of which way you choose, you will notice a small, round temple in both cases - that is Wiesbaden's Monopteros, which was built in 1851 by Philip Hoffmann, the builder of the Russian Orthodox Church. The term "Monopteros" comes from the Greek and means that it is an open rotunda with columns. Since a bank is set up in its interior, this unique place with its view of the city, not only for lovers of love enjoys great popularity.

From the Monopteros designed by Philipp Hoffmann you have a great view of the city. Its pillars used to stand along Wilhelmstrasse and carried the oil lamps of the old street lighting. From October 2010 to August 2013 it was renovated.
