The over 230-year-old former bakehouse, washhouse, and butcher's shop belonged to the two laboratory houses of the royal mines on the other side of the Forbach. One laboratory house is still preserved today. In the early 1960s, the "Backhäusle" was used as a paint and varnish store. On the initiative of the village community in the late eighties, the building and the bake oven were renovated with an expenditure of approx. 650 working hours. The outdoor facilities were laid out and designed as a small village square. Since then, the "Backhäusle" has experienced a renaissance and is today the community center of the Friedrichstal village community. In 2003, the bake oven was renovated in consultation with the State Monument Authority.

Right after the campsite, you can walk around the lake. There are plenty of good opportunities to get right down to the shore. A barbecue hut and picnic tables are available for hikers.
