Malga Untermaurer is one of two refreshment options along the shores of Lago di Neves. The facility is easily reachable in 10-15 minutes from the car park located near the dam. It serves typical Tyrolean dishes and homemade desserts. There is a small playground for children, a lawn and a sun terrace with a view of the lake. Opening hours: from June to mid-October.

Beautifully laid out and technically very easy path, especially suitable for children. The 600m from the reservoir to the Chemnitzer Hut are actually doable for everyone

I had planned the tour, but the Edelrauthütte advised me against it in October 2022. Statement: “This year no people were taken to the summit due to the risk of crevasses. Then I spontaneously went over the southern flank to the Großer Möseler - great lap!

The many small and large cairns are a beautiful sight. There are also some rest benches here to enjoy the view 🤗
