The St. Nicholas Church in Durnholz is a high Gothic gem at the end of the Sarntal. A particularly beautiful photo opportunity is when the church is reflected in the lake.

If you hike from Dornholzer See up to Tellerjoch, you have the opportunity to climb the Jakobspitze summit (2742m). The path, more demanding, runs along the west ridge, often over boulders (be careful, slippery) to the summit cross of the Jacobspitze and on the descent to the Marburger Hut. It is also possible to descend immediately from Tellerjoch and continue hiking directly to the Marburger Hut.

Short but crisp mountain trail that can be used as a climb to circular hikes (e.g. Marburger Hütte, Jakobspitze, etc.). The path always offers beautiful views over Lake Durnholz.
