The Schillerweiher is located in the heart of the Victoria-Park in Kronberg, which directly borders the Casals Forum and Beethovenplatz. It is the picturesque center of this historic parkland, which was laid out in the 19th century in the English landscape style. Today, the pond serves as a peaceful retreat and, with its paths near the shore and shady spots, offers an atmospheric contrast to the modern architecture of the adjacent music center. The pond is particularly known for the waterfowl living there and the reflections of the surrounding old trees, making it a popular motif for walkers and photographers. The pond, like the entire park area, owes its name to Kronberg's close connection to culture and history. The Victoria-Park itself was named in honor of Empress Victoria (the "Empress Frederick"), who had her widow's seat in the nearby Friedrichshof Castle and decisively shaped the city. Today, the Schillerweiher is part of a green belt that connects the old town with the new music quarter and is often used as a place for a short break in nature during concerts at the Casals Forum.

the abstract sculpture “C-Major” by British sculptor Tony Cragg. This work is characterized by its flowing, organic forms, reminiscent of vibrating strings or sound waves. It appears like a giant, vertically twisted treble clef or a musical gesture frozen in metal. Together with Beethoven's figure and the modern architecture of the Casals Forum, it forms an artistic unit that symbolically underscores the connection between visual art, architecture, and the world of sounds at the entrance to the Kronberg Music Quarter.

The music center in Kronberg, known as Casals Forum, forms a unique quarter for classical music worldwide together with the Kronberg Academy. The ensemble, completed in 2022, impresses with its open, transparent glass architecture and is considered the world's first CO₂-neutral concert hall, made possible by an innovative ice storage system for air conditioning. The large concert hall is acoustically perfectly aligned for chamber music and offers space for around 550 visitors. The forum is named after the cellist Pablo Casals, whose values such as love of peace and connection to nature shape the self-understanding of the music academy located there.

On the adjacent Beethovenplatz stands the monumental bronze sculpture of Ludwig van Beethoven, a work by the renowned German artist Markus Lüpertz. This sculpture is not a classic, realistic depiction of the composer, but rather a modern interpretation of his genius and inner turmoil. It shows Beethoven as a powerful, almost archaic figure, whose facial features reflect the intensity of his creativity and suffering. Lüpertz chose an expressive formal language that, through rough surface textures and deliberate abstraction, visualizes the timeless power of Beethoven's music.

A beautiful old train station that's been undergoing renovations for years. I'm curious to see what it will look like when it's finished.

The Old Cemetery in Kronberg im Taunus is a park. It is a listed monument. Gravestone of Caspar II of Cronberg History Edit It is unknown how long the old cemetery was used as a cemetery. While cemeteries were typically located next to the church, the old cemetery is located well outside the city walls and near the former high court. It may have originated as a plague cemetery or a slag heap. The last burial took place in 1884. Since then, the Kronberg im Taunus Cemetery has been used for burials. In 1896, a strip of the cemetery was used to develop Hartmuthstraße. The graves there were cleared. These included the graves of the pomologist Johann Ludwig Christ and the founder of the Kronthal, Dr. Ferdinand Küster. The gravestones were draped around the oldest gravestone in 1896. Today, these gravestones have been cleared and are preserved in the museum.
