The Kölnbreinsperre is an impressive highlight high above the Maltatal and part of Austria's highest dam. You can reach the Kölnbrein reservoir via the Malta-Hochalmstraße. Right at the dam, the Bergrestaurant Malta and an informative exhibition about hydropower and the Hohe Tauern National Park invite you to take a break. The dam is also a starting point for hikes. The brave can experience bungee jumping from the dam crown.
