But what you see here is not a creature sprung from a fantasy novel, but a wooden footbridge that connects the two riverbanks of the Main-Danube Canal. With its 193 meters in length, it can proudly claim to be one of the longest wooden bridges in Europe. Beautiful views of Essing, the Randeck castle ruins, and the river landscape are guaranteed from the bridge.
