The popularly called "Tatzelwurm" bridge over the Main-Danube Canal at Essing was until 2006 the longest wooden bridge in Europe with a length of 190 meters.
The striking architecture is worth seeing and the crossing by bike is in a good mood.

The bridge stands out from afar due to its curious construction. With a length of 193 meters, the "Tatzlwurm" suspension bridge construction is one of the longest wooden bridges in Europe and connects the two sides of the Essing valley. This unusual wooden bridge has a striking architecture and is a strap bridge. At 193 meters in length, it is one of the longest wooden bridges in Europe. Absolutely worth seeing!
