vignanotica
July 12, 2026, Spiaggia di Vignanotica

Wonderful tourist destination. One of the most beautiful and renowned bays in Italy. In Vignanotica there is a campsite (camping vignanotica) and a residence (vignanotica beach apartment) www.vignanotica.it In the immediate vicinity there is the 3 km nature trail "sentiero dell'amore" (path of love) which is beautiful to do both on foot and by bike. It is possible to stay in both the campsite and apartments. In the immediate vicinity there are markets, small restaurants and equipped beach clubs. There is also the possibility to rent canoes to see the most beautiful caves of the Gargano!

Theater partly built into the rock and partly on a supporting structure, could hold 5000 spectators. Hypothetically dated to the Augustan age.

The "Donna di Ostuni" is the 28,000-year-old skeleton of a Paleolithic woman, approximately 20 years old, found in the Santa Maria di Agnano cave near Ostuni. The "world's oldest human mother" died in late pregnancy, her fetus in the 8th or 9th month. The skeleton is on display at the Museum of Preclassic Civilizations of the Southern Murgia (Museo di Civiltà Preclassiche della Murgia Meridionale) in Ostuni.
