A city tour at 38 degrees is not exactly a good idea. But you can be invited to Bergamo for a ball of stracciatella. After all, this type of ice cream was invented here. In 1961 Enrico Panattoni, owner of the La Marianna restaurant, created the ice cream. The city also has an old town worth seeing and the Venetian city walls have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2017. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stracciatella_(ice cream variety) https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bergamo
A trip to Bergamo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Upper Town is the ancient heart of the city. Many buildings date back to the Baroque and Renaissance periods. Museums, squares, palaces, shops, and numerous restaurants are within easy reach. Two funiculars and stairs quickly lead to the Old Town—above and back down. Many tourists are present, but the locals are nevertheless very friendly and helpful. We were delighted to find green oases of peace and quiet where we could relax.
... today, unfortunately in the rain, explored the old town of Bergamo. Well worth seeing...
