Nice hike with steep climbs on single trails. Surefootedness and good conditions are an advantage. Frequent views of the Feldberg.
On Saturday through the Black Forest in the Spanish heat. Starting at the small Felsenkeller hiking car park in Gütenbach, there was a short ascent and over to the figure of the courtship Lord God that had grown into the tree. A longer descent follows with a detour to the Hexenlochmühle, which is served, for a short rest. Continue to the beautifully designed barbecue area at the Albert-Kammerer-Hütte and immediately afterwards into a longer, quite steep climb. Arrived back on the mountain ranges above the deeply cut valleys, the tour continues with only a small difference in altitude through forest sections and open terrain and finally reaches the starting point in Gütenbach. Nice to walk, with an appealing part of the path, which is sometimes steeper and requires sure-footedness. Despite the two very well-known highlights, the round is not quite as varied overall. 30°C, plenty of sun, already quite hazy, pleasant wind at the heights, midsummer. The climbs are therefore sweaty, but it worked :)
My round today essentially corresponds to the Balzer Herrgott round. I started at the Hexenlochmühle, where you can stop off at the end and/or buy Black Forest ham, schnapps, fruit wines, glass art and cuckoo clocks.
A really nice round in a fantastic Black Forest landscape. Past the Faller Hof and the Balzer Herrgott it goes to the Hexenlochmühle - there is delicious food - although no bargain market - but very friendly and the dog also got a bowl with water. Immediately afterwards, next to the Rappenfelsen, it goes up the sting - smokers can save the emergency whistle here, the lungs take care of that 😂 All in all - beautiful well-kept paths, lots to see, fantastic nature - TOP! There are several wells and streams along the way, so you don't have to drag the water for the dog with you.
In sunshine we started along the Balzer Hergott Runde. Sometimes wide asphalt paths, sometimes narrow single trails and mostly up or down, that's how it started until, after a long, steep descent, just before the witch's hole, a strong rumble of thunder could be heard. Here then hiked to the Hexenlochmühle to be on the safe side. Then looked dry again and it went on. Unfortunately, behind the next ridge it was deep black again and so we got really wet. The very steep section to the Balzer Hergott then mastered in the decreasing drizzle before it was completely dry again at the Balzer Hergott. Overall, despite the rain, a nice and varied round.
