Highlight • Bridge

Since October 2021, the Mühlensteg has been available for cyclists and pedestrians. It is part of the Enzradweg (Enz cycle path). Directly at the access to the bridge, a large playground has been built in the Enzpark. You can also see a mill wheel in action. It doesn't drive a millstone, but a generator that produces electricity. The bridge offers new photo opportunities of Besigheim.

Work is currently underway on the continuation of the cycle path. Once completed, you will be able to cycle under the Enz bridge.

Historic section of a railway bridge over the Enz River

The bridge section comes from the half-timbered bridge with a roadway below that was built over the Enz in 1884. It ran upstream parallel to the current prestressed concrete bridge. It was dismantled in 2006.
