Wooden Bridge Over the Neckar Near Sulz

Highlight • Bridge

The small wooden bridge appears inconspicuously in front of the cyclist. A few turns later, it's behind me – and in front of me is a rest area: a table with two benches. The Swabians are quite practical.

From this bridge you have a great view of the Neckar, which is still very small and natural. The lush riverbank and the forest in the background give a unique panorama.

The Neckar Valley is beautiful for hiking or cycling. Anyone traveling between Oberndorf and Rottweil in the Neckar Valley should not miss taking a break in the wonderful Neckarburg beer garden.

Very nice variant through the beautifully landscaped Neckar valley. Who is oriented at Dietingen on the ridge to the Neckar valley can enjoy many great views and explore new trails.

On the stage the weather wasn't quite as nice as the days before, a handful of drops also came down. Nevertheless a nice tour. And Rottweil really surprised me with its beautiful city center. And the stop at the Golden Wheel has finally reconciled me.

Luckily the spoke could be repaired, so we continued today.

Today we went on a little bike ride for my birthday 😉😂
Very idyllic along the Neckar to Horb. The tour is slowly moving north again, the holiday will soon be over and we have to be back by Sunday. So we will be taking a few train rides over …

Wonderful day's stage always within striking distance of the still naturally flowing Neckar. Short, crisp climbs alternate with longer descents on the route, which is away from traffic. Many wooded areas with shady passages made the 50 km long stage pass very pleasantly at almost 27 degrees...more of that would be nice.
We stayed at the Hotel Schiff on the …

Today we cycled a stage on the Neckartalweg. From Rottweil to Horb am Neckar with beautiful early summer temperatures.

7.50 euros for a 32 km train ride from Sulz am Neckar back to Rottweil ... then refueled in RW for 104 euros - it's getting crazier in this country.

Deutsche Bahn doesn't like spontaneous travelers. All trains from Rottweil to Stuttgart require reservations for cyclists. So we cycled the distance to Horb. It's all downhill after all.

Here the Neckar Valley Cycle Path goes up and down a little. Through flowering meadows, along a railway line, over pretty wooden bridges and almost completely without traffic noise.

Including a detour from the Neckar along the Glatt to the moated castle of Glatt.
