Hiking
The Upper Gate is also called the Black Gate. It is part of the former city fortifications of Rottweil and is the last remaining city gate. It is located at the end of the Ober Hauptstraße in the west of the historic city center and is a protected monument.

Running
Historic tower gate - which most people know from the Carnival. Every year, the Rottweil jesters start the traditional jester's leap through the gate. On this Carnival Saturday, I could still see some children below the gate with their whips, who probably participated in the annual whip-cracking competition.
