Further south, the Jura rises to over 1,700 m, but that was too far away for me, so I settled for Mont d'Or at 1,463 m. The tour offered beautiful views of the Swiss side (as far as Mont Blanc when visibility was better) and passed through exciting meadows of summer flowers.
