Hallstatt is said to be a very worthwhile town due to its architecture and lakeside location. However, mass tourism and chaotic traffic conditions prevented us from strolling through the town. To reach the Salzbergbahn cable car in the town center, we had to endure a long stretch along the road due to limited parking. However, the ascent to the summit …

August 27, 2023,Aufstieg von Hallstatt zum Plassen, so war es jedenfalls geplant 🥳

We actually wanted to climb up to the Plassen and enjoy the view of the Dachstein glacier. But from about 1100 HM the view was at 0 today. So change of plan and through some gorges back to Hallstatt. After initial frustration, it was still a successful round 😊
