Great loop around with differing terrain. I'm not sure if you need to follow the Shacklow steps rather than carry straight on down the path. It was a somewhat pointless and steep uphill climb just to come down, and the wooden steps were quite slippery underfoot and somewhat overgrown. The rest of the loop was great. Plenty of places to …

Had this one in the “planned routes” for way too long! Thankyou @Simon Wilson for the inspiration / motivation! Was a cracking hike and ther weather really ended up nice ineadf the planned rain!
