The Hullern reservoir is very beautiful, as it is usually not as crowded as the Haltern reservoir. If you want, you can take both lakes with you. A great tour. I love to drive them again and again.

Halterner Reservoir

Highlight • Lake

Great starting point for a walk around the lake. It's the largest drinking water extraction facility, which is why swimming is prohibited everywhere.

Part 2: A great tour around the reservoir. Unfortunately, after 38 minutes from the start, the phone froze and had to restart, so we were 38 minutes short. There was a lot of traffic on a Sunday, but otherwise it was pure nature.

Today, with very high temperatures around 32°C, we cycled through fields and meadows (in the farming communities of Enkum and Leversum). The breeze and a few shady spots to linger and something cool to drink made the day truly bearable. Beautiful views and mostly paved paths, and in Lüdinghausen, shopping for the wife and a delicious gyro plate... We had …

Beautiful bike ride in the sunshine, mostly easy to drive on paths, some of which are badly signposted after the Hullener See. A section of the path just before Hausdülmen was designated as a cycle path, but it was very dangerous and hardly passable because it was sandy!
