Hiking

Strausberger Platz with its two towers marks the beginning of the GDR boulevard Karl-Marx-Allee and its buildings in the sugar confectionery style. GDR's star architect Hermann Henselmann, who had also designed the distinctive towers of the Frankfurt Gate in the course of the Karl-Marx-Allee, had planned the course. If you stroll along the Karl-Marx-Allee, you can learn all about the history of the GDR splendor boulevard on numerous information boards.

Running

A prominent point in the Berlin Marathon: the easternmost point along the running route. You circle the square 3/4 and continue the run in a south-west direction.
