The tower of the Berlin City Hall on Alexanderplatz in Berlin-Mitte can be seen from afar and is one of the most famous landmarks in Berlin. Because of the red bricks, it is also called the "Red Town Hall".
It is very centrally located next to the Berlin TV Tower, the Marienkirche, the Neptune Fountain and the beautiful Nikolaiviertel. A detour here is definitely worthwhile, as is a leisurely stroll in the evening when everything is wonderfully illuminated.
