The dedicated car-free bike trail along the Danube river here passes through a wetland with an idyllic pond on the inland side, and a wetland and dead arm on the Danube river side.

Since the cycle path on the dike is often very exposed (lots of sun, often headwinds), cyclists like to seek out the area around the pond for a short break in the shade of the trees near the bank.
