Hiking

Heinrich Wickel was a prominent entrepreneur and pioneer in Bad Segeberg. He recognized the healing properties of the brine found beneath the Kalkberg and used it for medicinal baths. On July 1, 1884, he opened his bathhouse at what is now Oldesloer Straße 20. By Whitsun 1885, he was able to inaugurate his magnificent spa for salt and mud baths above the Great Segeberg Lake.
