On July 3, 1920, the regiment commander gave the regiment the nickname "Wolves" by his order.
In the interwar period, the Regiment was stationed in Dęblin and was part of the 28th Infantry Division. In the September Campaign, it fought as part of its parent division in the defense zone of the "Łódź" Army, and later in the defense of Modlin.
