On the edge of Geulhem, in the marlstone along the Geul River, lie the unique rock dwellings carved into the soft marlstone. These dwellings were inhabited for centuries by laborers and stonemasons working in the nearby Geulhem quarry. Today, they represent a remarkable piece of Limburg history where nature and human craftsmanship converge. The area exudes tranquility and mystery, with the scent of damp marl and the gentle sound of the stream in the background.
