Hawk Mountain offers stunning views of Mount Jefferson and the surrounding landscape. If you look further south, you can see Three Fingered Jack, The Three Sisters, and Mt. Washington.
There was once a 60-foot lookout tower here, but it was taken down in 1967. What does remain is the base and a cabin from 1936 that still stands. The cabin is unlocked and available to users on a first come/first serve basis. The cabin is outfitted with a stove, wooden bench, and of course great views!
