The Church of San Lorenzo or Church of Jesus and its Hospital of Charity, were erected in 1578 in the city of Trujillo.
Initially, the hospital for the city's poor was built, later the Church attached to the hospital was built on land owned by the brothers of Charity. The Hospital functioned since 1605 as a House of Comedies.
