In the monastery park there is a monumental oak, several hundred years old, probably from the 13th century - called the "Oak of Sidonia" - named after Sydonia von Borck (Sidonia von Borcke), (born in 1548, Strzmiele Castle, died on August 19, 1620, Szczecin) - a noblewoman of the Pomeranian family, beheaded and burned at the stake as a witch.
Is this the same oak under which Sidonia spent a lot of time alone? It is unlikely, although it is an ancient, stately and beautiful tree.
