The history of the miraculous spring in Zwierzyń, which was the destination of numerous pilgrimages even before the war, is associated with a mysterious cross located in the local church. He came from the French Limoges, located in the Limousin region, hence this type of cross was called Limousine. At the same time, however, the term limousine enamels meant a special technique of enamelling, characteristic of this region. The cross was made in the first half of the 19th century. It is not known how he got to Zwierzynie in the 13th century. (...)
