Dorpsbemden-Pomperik is a nature reserve of 60 ha, located in the valleys of the Demer and Kaatsbeek. 38 ha of this is managed by Natuurpunt, which also owns 1 ha. The area is protected at European level as part of the Natura 2000 area Jekervallei and the upper reaches of the Demer valley.
