Hiking
The Jardí Botànic Històric, a small treasure of Barcelona gardening, is hidden inside two pits from old quarries in the Foixarda de Montjuïc sector, behind the National Art Museum of Catalonia. The fact that it is an enclosed place, in the Montjuïc valley, means that the cold air accumulates at the bottom and the temperatures at the bottom are up to four degrees lower than those at the top. This circumstance facilitates the development of species of a Euro-Siberian character, typical of colder climates.
