The war memorial in Lier commemorates victims who died in the First and Second World War. However, not all names of the victims are mentioned on the monument.
Design by Arthur Dupon. Queen Elisabeth modeled the face of Nike (goddess of victory). Unveiled in 1927, at the Vismarkt, later (1967) moved to its current location.

The war memorial in Lier commemorates victims who died in the First and Second World War. Queen Elisabeth is said to be the model for the face of Nike, the goddess of victory. Unveiled in 1927, at the Vismart, then moved in 1967 to the current location at the city ramparts.
