You will traverse diverse terrain, including steep ascents, grassy slopes, and limestone rocks, with the path opening into a basin after an initial climb from Sella Nevea. Keep an eye out for rich flowering plants and ibex as you hike through high pastures.
This demanding loop requires a good level of fitness, sure-footedness, and sturdy hiking shoes; alpine experience is also recommended. Be prepared for demanding sections with loose rocks and potential exposure and tricky turns, particularly on the north side of Passo degli Scalini.
