If you continue from Carnon in the direction of Pérols, you have a wonderful view of the Étang du Méjean. The pond is part of Les Étangs Palavasiens. These are lagoon-like ponds that, separated from the Mediterranean Sea, continue to Frontignan by promontories and embankments and are home to a great variety of species.

Cycle path protected from car traffic, however quite noisy because there is a lot of traffic nearby.
