As the French. Colonel Tranchot made his famous map in 1809, this mill was already listed on it. It is still intact today, but has not been in service since 1977. The water from the Trierbach enters the pond via the old mill ditch. As a water reservoir, this guaranteed that the mill could even be operated, because it was from here that the water was directed to the mill wheel.
