The Mönchsweg leads here on the old railway line of the former Kiel - Segeberg small railway line over the old railway bridge over the Trave. A section of route that is easy to drive. From the bridge you have beautiful views of the Trave.

On our stage from Bad Segeberg via Plön and Eutin to Neustadt in Holstein (97km) we crossed the Trave shortly after the start in Bad Segeberg between Groß- and Klein Rönnau.
A beautiful spot and a scenic bike path. It is part of the "Mönchweg" hiking trail, which we drove from Bremen via Glückstadt to Burg auf Fehmarn.

on the old railway embankment through the Ihlwald ... good for hiking and also accessible by standard bike from Segeberg - in the further direction towards Groß Rönnau towards Blunk the path becomes a little more uneven
