Bookings are no longer required - the maintenance contribution from the past is also history (those who wish to support the climbing garden can become a (secondary) member of the Essen section).
For climbing, there is something for almost everyone here. Those who feel comfortable on 7s and roofs will find a great selection of beautiful lines here, but also slabs and crimpy routes in a similar range. Absolutely recommended are Duisburger Weg, Essener Weg, Dachl Verschneidung, Henkeldach and Hängerdach - all problems resolve wonderfully once you've figured them out.
