Ancestors of the Illyrians, who probably settled in present-day Bosnia-Herzegovina 27,000 years ago, are said to have built the pyramids. Kilometers of tunnel systems connecting all the pyramids were discovered beneath the pyramids – including wooden remains dating back as much as 36,000 years.
