This square is also called Schrannenplatz. The Baker's Fountain is also located there. It was built in May 2013 and is dedicated entirely to the theme of bread. Therefore, it stands near the former granary (=Schranne). A farmer, a miller, and a baker sit on a stylized sheaf of grain.

Since May 2013, the Bäckerbrunnen (also called Brotbrunnen) has adorned Schrannenplatz in front of the former granary. The fountain is entirely dedicated to the theme of bread. Three bronze figures, symbolizing the journey of grain, are enthroned on a stylized sheaf of wheat: a farmer with a flail, a miller with a millstone, and a baker with a bread peel. Bronze sacks of grain, which serve as seats, lie around the fountain. The Bäckerbrunnen was designed by the sculptor Josef Walk from nearby Roßhaupten.

The bread market is one of the oldest settlements within the Füssen city center. The name Brotmarkt has to be taken literally, since many bakers, in the absence of their own shop, offered their goods on the market. The bread market is still one of the most beautiful places in Füssen today.
