The uppermost of three water mills on the course of the Schleifbach stream is also the oldest of its kind in the region.
It was first mentioned in the 15th century.
Around 1600 it had three millstones. From 1708 onwards, a cutting mill and later an oil mill were added. The milling operations ceased at the end of the 1940s.
