The 7th Bacino (or Prati Nuovi) water pumping plant is part of the reclamation works started in the early 1900s by the San Michele al Tagliamento Reclamation Consortium on areas that were mostly in a swamp state. The municipal territory was divided into 7 basins, intervening with specific projects based on the characteristics of each. Hydraulic and road improvement works, construction of farmhouses and reception facilities were carried out. The works ended between the two World Wars.
