Cycling

The mountain up to the pilgrimage basilica is tough. Especially in the upper area it gets really steep and the thighs have to work properly. Step in, you can do it!

Hiking

The tiny town of Vierzehnheiligen actually consists of just a handful of buildings, the towering baroque basilica, the monastery, a brewery with delicious beers, two other inns, the diocesan house …

Hiking

The Baroque pilgrimage basilica Vierzehnheiligen was built by the famous architect Balthasar Neumann and was extensively renovated just a few years ago. From the 15th century to the present day, pilgrims are looking for the fourteenth-saint, one of the most famous places of pilgrimage, to seek the protection of the 14 helpers. Back then, more than 500 years ago, a shepherd had an appearance that was to become the cornerstone of one of the most famous pilgrimage churches in Bavaria. The basilica was built in the 18th century - it is one of the most important baroque buildings in Bavaria.
