Sitting at the north-eastern extent of the Ben Lawers range, Meall Greigh rises above Loch Tay to 3,284 feet (1,001 m). Part of a horseshoe of Munros towering over beautiful Lochan nan Cat, you can bag multiple peaks in the Lawers range, or simply summit Meall Greigh by itself.

The best place to begin any adventures here is in the village of Lawers, where you can pay to park at the hotel or often during the summer months, in a local farmer’s field. Meall Greigh is the first mountain you reach, ascending to its shoulder, Sròn Mòhr, before heading up to the summit. The terrain is largely grassy with some peaty sections. If you continue around the ridge to Meall Garbh and An Stuc, the descent can be rocky and boggy.

From the summit, you can enjoy grand views across the range to mighty Ben Lawers, as well as down to the glorious Loch Tay below.

    Hiking

Meall Greigh just sneaks over the 1,000-metre mark at 3,284 feet (1,001 m) high. It's often described as the 'book end' of the Ben Lawers range.

It's a Munro with a broad grassy west ridge that links to the neighbouring Munro of Meall Garbh.

    Hiking

An outlying Munro from the rest of the ridge towards Ben Lawers. It can be done as a ridge walk, best started at the Ben Lawers car park, and finished at the pub on the main road.
