    Hiking

The summit of Corno Bianco rises to 2,316 meters above sea level and offers an impressive 360 degree view.

From the top, in fact, you can see the Catinaccio, the Latemar, the Val di Non Alps, as well as on Lavazè, the Corno Nero and up to the Val d'Adige. The effort is amply rewarded.

Embark on the Corno Bianco Summit Trail from Oberradein, a challenging hike that rewards you with expansive alpine views. This difficult route covers 6.8 miles (10.9 km) with a significant elevation gain of 2368 feet (722 metres), typically taking around 4 hours and 40 minutes to complete. As you ascend, you will traverse rocky terrain and areas of mountain pine undergrowth, offering a true high-mountain experience.

To begin your adventure, you can park at the GEOPARC Bletterbach visitor centre, located above Aldein. This serves as a convenient starting point for the trail. The route is best enjoyed during favorable weather conditions, allowing you to fully appreciate the panoramic vistas from the summit. Plan to start your hike early to allow ample time for the ascent and descent.

The trail offers a unique opportunity to explore the geological wonders of the region, providing glimpses into the ancient layers that define the landscape. The highlight of your journey is reaching the summit of Corno Bianco, also known as Weißhorn, where you are treated to a stunning 360-degree panorama. From this vantage point, you can see across the Dolomites, the Zillertal and Sarntal Alps, the Rosengarten, and even as far as the Ortler.
