Very pretty, it's worth a stop! Please note: access is only permitted on foot - however, you can return by bike. The caves can only be visited with an attendant - times are available at the cave entrance.

A master locksmith probably lives here—there are several specially fitted doors. This one with the old locks is the prettiest. Our son's theory: "It's a burglar alarm—very clever—you don't know which lock is the real one!"

The medieval village of Tourtour is located 27 km north-west of Draguignan in the Var department. Tourtour is a very picturesque and beautifully preserved village, which is also included in the list of the most beautiful villages in France. Tourtour is now a popular holiday resort, and unfortunately also a holiday resort that is almost deserted outside of the season. However, the village is definitely worth a visit, especially because of its beautiful location.
