Hechtsee itself is a great highlight. - Whether the bathing beach can/must be described as a highlight depends on the person and also on the demands of the hike. (Seen in summer, rather crowded and for us at least more relaxed to go into the water at another spot, on the other side of the lake, without too much hustle and bustle.)

The VERBUND Oberaudorf-Ebbs power plant is a run-of-river power plant on the Inn, north of Kufstein, between the municipalities of Ebbs (Tyrol) and Oberaudorf (Bavaria). Wasserkraftwerke können verbinden, wie im Fall vom Kraftwerk Oberaudorf-Ebbs! Das Wasserkraftwerk Oberaudorf-Ebbs schlägt eine Brücke über den Inn zwischen Tirol und Bayern und verbindet somit die zwei Länder, die in dieser Region durch den Inn getrennt sind. Since 1992, the power plant has been in operation and generates green electricity from 100% hydropower. A special feature of the power plant is the colorful fish migration aid, which was lovingly painted with fish and other aquatic creatures by children from the surrounding villages. The power plant is the youngest in the VERBUND "Grenzkraftwerke" (border power plants) group and, despite its considerable output of 60 MW, is considered one of the smaller power plants in this group.
