What an imposing church without a tower. A very nice gentleman asked us where we came from and said the church was already open, we should take the left entrance door. It is a Roman Catholic parish / monastery church of St. Gerhard and is located on the eastern edge of Heiligenstadt. What a magnificent church.

The tower is not too high, so there is no view when the trees have leaves.

Here, in front of the fountain, the poet Wilhelm Müller wrote his verses, which were set to music by Franz Schubert.

The Klausbergturm is a not so well-known tower. You usually don't even notice it when you are out and about in BSA. From this tower, you have a good view of Bad Sooden-Allendorf, but not much more. The tower apparently hasn't been visited in a long time, as there are many spiderwebs inside.
