Enjoy beautiful views around every corner. Even after rain, the paths were, with a few exceptions, very walkable.

One of the many dolomite limestone rock formations in this valley. Vertical rock walls with a statue of Our Lady at the top, hence the name. Once erected by passing skippers on their flatboats, for protection, as the Ourthe River was a dangerous spot here.

The cliffs here offer beautiful synclines. We can clearly see the geological layers standing vertically. The river here is particularly pleasant.

The Parc du Mary was created in 1845 when Mr Francotte, owner of the Rond-Chêne estate, created the 'Etang du Mary' pond and built a park around it. The name is a local derivation of the Walloon expression mâva ry, meaning 'bad current'. In 1882, the property was acquired by the Montefiore family (see also other highlight about statue of Hortense Bischoffsheim-Montefiori), who authorized public access to the park. The park, which has been municipally owned since 1914, extends over twenty-two hectares, is part of a complex of one hundred hectares of parkland and woods and is covered with numerous hiking trails. There is a great diversity of age-old tree species, beautiful ponds and interesting fauna and flora. In particular, since the 2000s we have seen the return of the beaver, a protected animal at European level. A megaphorbia has also been created in the park, a swamp area with large-flowered plants. It is the result of the cessation of agricultural activities such as grazing and mowing. These areas, suitable for the gradual redevelopment of a forest, are still rare in Wallonia. That of the Maria Park extends along a stream that flows into the Ourthe and where the meadowsweet mainly lives.
