A town of about 3,200 inhabitants in the province of Livorno, Bibbona is located in Val di Cecina, at the foot of the Colline metallifere. Of particular natural interest and perfect for those who cycle here is the Macchia della Magona, a protected area of almost 2,000 hectares in which it is splendid to cycle off-road.

Highly recommended visit. Bibbona is a small, charming hilltop village dating back to the Middle Ages (as demonstrated by the characteristic buildings and streets of the historic centre), which allows you to make excursions by bike or on foot towards Casale Marittimo, Guardistallo and Montescudaio to the north, Bolgheri and Castagneto Carducci to the south, the Macchia della Magona to the east and the tomboli of Cecina on the coast to the west. Apart from this last direction, all the others have nice ups and downs, but the roads, as well as being secondary and therefore with little traffic, offer a typically Tuscan landscape. In the villages there are fountains and refreshment points, however it is a good idea to have a supply of water

The existence of the church within the castle of Bibbona is attested as early as the 12th century. The left part of the church dates back to the 14th century. In the 16th century it became a parish church. Inside the church there are, for example, baptismal fonts and paintings as remaining witnesses of the centuries.
